Organising a speech with good, helpful notes is a vital skill for any public speaker. Good speakers can deliver a speech, without losing eye contact or interrupting the flow of the speech, whilst at the same time using their notes to prompt them where necessary.
For this assignment, it is not necessary to memorise the speech, instead you need to demonstrate that you are able to organise your thoughts coherently through notes and deliver it accurately. Whilst your style of notes is down to personal choice, you should avoid a full script.
In assessing this speech, your evaluator will be following these guidelines and looking to see whether your eye contact, flow, gestures or content of the speech suffered due to the notes. You will be asked to submit your notes and speech in advance.
