To WEST KENT SPEAKERS CLUB winners of the Hopper Cup 2007
This annual team speaking competition challenges the finest public speakers in the County to work together in teams of four to produce a 20 minute speech around a specific theme. This year the theme was "Oh To Be In England"
The West Kent Team of Terry Nunn, Michael Breeze, Sylvia Lichfield and Gary Smith triumphed in this year's competition held on July 11th at the Russell Hotel Maidstone.
So if you want to learn to speak in public - what better place than with Kent's best speaking team!

We have three simple objectives from every meeting of West Kent Speakers Club
To develop our speaking confidence
To learn from others
To have fun!
Our meetings are run in a semi-formal yet relaxed manner twice a month on the second and fourth Wednesdays.
Visitors and guests are always welcomed - feel free to turn up but if you let us know you are coming we can look out for you!
Dress code is not prescribed but reasonably smart casual wear sums up how we normally dress.
We have an interesting programme coming up - so visit us, join in the fun and learn some new skills!
