To learn or improve public speaking or presentation skills in Maidstone, Medway, West Malling or anywhere in Kent getting in touch with Speakers Club is the best move you can make!
Most people rank speaking in public as one of their greatest fears. Yet in today's society more and more of us are being called upon to speak in front of others more frequently.
This may mean making business presentations at work, speaking on behalf of clubs and associations, making speeches at social functions and even talking at committee meetings!
Once you have overcome that fear and can speak with confidence, speaking in public can become a useful skill for life, plus it can be an enjoyable and rewarding social activity.
Learning to speak effectively takes time to develop. So for businesses who need their staff to communicate more effectively West Kent Speakers Club offers an excellent means to hone the skills your employees acquire on commercial presentation skills courses.
We help and encourage members to develop into better speakers, not just for formal events, such as dinners or business presentations, but for any occasion where someone is called upon to say a few words.
At West Kent Speakers Club meetings speakers progress through a series of logical assignments with the aid of "The Speakers Guide", a useful handbook which is given to all new members.
This manual provides guidance on each of ten basic assignments, as well as an Advanced section, helpful advice on Chairmanship of meetings, Impromptu Speaking and Evaluation.
Each speech is evaluated by more experienced members, who give their views on the performance and advice for improvement. Evaluations are the keystone to success by giving the developing speaker the confidence to improve.
